A “THE VOICE” CHRISTINA MILIAN WEEKEND

by on Jan.24, 2012, under Appearances

On Sunday I had the  honor of djing for NBC for a promo event at the Topanga Canyon Mall, for their show “The Voice” which features celebrity coaches Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Blake Shelton, & Adam Levine. I pretty much just supplied the sounds for the crowd and as people lined up to take  a spin on the judges chair that was on display. Christina Milian showed up as well to announce her role as “social media correspondent” for the show. She still looked fooooine as hell even after having a kid (her’s and The Dream’s daughter was there w/ her as well). I always was a fan of her music and her movies so It was definitely dope to meet her and she was vibin out to my set too. She was even surprised when I played her joint with Twista because I guess it was an unreleased demo, lol, I don’t even remember how I got the song. I had a dope time, I had to be on my toes because I had a pretty strict playlist of songs and artists to play, definitely not the usual club set or set I would normally play at a Power 106 event. All in all, I think I did an okay job, and I received word today that NBC wants to fly me out to New York on Sunday to play at the event out there as well! Pretty dope, especially since I’ve never been to NY. Keep it locked right here in the next week as I’ll be updating yall with my trip and everything.

So far 2012 has been good to me! Hope your new year is going just as dope!

A_RON TV makes it to World Star Hip Hop

by on Dec.07, 2010, under Appearances, A_RON TV

Last September, I was invited by the homie Ukon to shoot some behind the scenes A_RON TV footage for his new group he’s working with, The Wonder Broz (Brothaz). I’ve known Ukon for a minute, since my djing days with the New Boyz. He does a lot of heavy work in the music/entertainment biz with managing the New Boyz and doing some production/writing work for some of the hottest artists in the game. The Wonder Broz are Nick Cannon’s newest addition to his label, NCredible, and have a catchy track produced by Jhalil Beats (famous for production on Chris Brown & Tyga’s mixtape) called “Chitty Chitty”. It’s a trip that this video made it to World Star; everything thats anything in hip hop culture is on Worldstarhiphop.com. Artists premiere their albums, their music videos and mixtapes on the site, as well as offering a daily dose of whats hot (and not) in the hip hop world. It was even voted #1 Hip Hop Website, according to the latest edition of The Source magazine. Big shouts to Ukon and The Wonder Broz for getting it on World Star! And an even bigger shoutout to the dude behind the lens, my camera man/editor Brando!
